After Pakka Commercial, which performed fairly well at the box office, actor Thottempudi Gopichand has teamed up with one of his favourite directors, Sriwass, with whom he has given two hits- Soukhyam, and Lakshyam.

The upcoming family action drama titled Rama Banam, is all set to hit the screens on May 5, as a summer release. The movie marks the third collaboration of the actor and director. Dimple Hayathi is the film's female lead.

Rama Banam is an attempt to bring back the actor to his guy-next-door image with a family backdrop that works with his image earlier. The recently released publicity material has been generating enough hype around the movie.

Meanwhile, Director Teja, who is the one to mince no words and speaks straight out of his heart, interviewed Gopichand for Rama Banam. It is noteworthy that Teja is the person who made Gopichand a star.

During the interview, Gopichand was asked several embarassing questions by Teja, according to the promo that was released. The questions were harsh and blunt. For the viewers, it didn't look like an interview for Rama Banam, but Teja grilling Gopichand. The interview on the YouTube was taken dowm after a couple of hours.

Speaking about it, Gopichand clarified that it happened due to the excitement around a negatively cut promo by the editor. The essence of the interview was entirely different and the promo was projecting it in a new light. "The actual interview was lot more different than the promo. That video has been taken down, and a new version will be up on YouTube very soon," Gopichand said, as quoted by 123 Telugu.
