Tollywood's macho man Gopichand has come up with yet another family entertainer, which is his forte, by joining hands for the third time with director Sriwass and veteran Jagapathi Babu. Titled Ramabanam, the movie hit the screens on May 5 to a lukewarm response.

Ramabanam was reviewed as a mediocre film with an outdated story that has nothing to look forward to. Actress Dimple Hayathi was paired opposite Gopichand in this drama which was made on a decent budget. However, critics and fans have expressed severe disappointment in Ramabanam. Accordingly, the collection for the movie at the box office is plummeting.

Ramabanam Story

Vivek (Gopichand) and Rajaram (Jagapathi Babu) are brothers with different ideologies. However, while Rajaram, who runs a food business with standards was confronted by money-minded corporates, Vivek approaches a rogue method to settle the scores. An upset Rajaram warns Vivek of the same, following which Vivek moves to Kolkata. Once there, he becomes a bigwig. He falls in love with Bhairavi (Dimple Hayathi). But after 15 years, Vivek comes back to Hyderabad to his family. The reason behind his visit is what the story is about.

Ramabanam Cast

The Gopichand-starrer features actress Dimple Hayathi as the female lead. In addition, veterans like Jagapathi Babu, Khushbu, Ali, Tarun Raj Arora, Nasser, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Sachin Khedekar, Kasi Vishwanath, Vennela Kishore, Satya, Sapthagriri, and Getup Srinu among others in key roles.

Directed by Sriwass, Ramabanam is a TG Vishwa Prasad production venture under the People Media Factory banner. Prawin Pudi worked as the film's editor and Mickey J Meyer composed the film's entire sound and tunes. Vetri Palanisamy cranked the camera while Bhupathi Raja wrote the film's story.

Ramabanam was released on all over 840 plus screens worldwide. The film's business was valued at Rs 14.50 Crore and the target to achieve break-even was Rs 15.20 Crore.
