"If You Can't Carry On Your Parents' Achievements & Legacy, Then You're...," Says Rana Daggubati On Nepotism!
During the talk show, the host, singer Smita quizzed them about their opinion on nepotism. While both of them had shared their views, Rana's comments on the same have caught the attention of everybody.
Rana Daggubati is a multi-talented youngster in Tollywood, who spread his wings far and wide, becoming the first of young generation heroes to cross borders. Coming from an established film background with a family full of producers and actors, Rana, has carved a niche for himself and attained an image on his own.
On the other hand, actor Nani, who is often referred to as the 'Natural star', is an outsider who came up the ladder through his efforts and hard work, to become one of the most bankable and self-made stars of Tollywood. Both Rana and Nani set an incredible example to the people out there, looking to become successful-with or without support.
Nani and Rana Daggubati, who are best of the buddies in Tollywood have shared space on a brand new talk show for SonyLIV OTT. They spoke at large about films and had a nice time together, away from their usual commitments. Nani and Rana are friends since their beginning days and Rana was one among the strictly personal circle of invitees to Nani's marriage in Visakhapatnam.

Contrary to the usual answer to nepotism and its effects- only talent will make you successful even if you are from a privileged background- Rana's answer came as a reasonable point for the viewers.
He said, " If you can't carry on your parents' achievements and legacy, then you're doing a disservice to your family."
Rana's grandfather, legendary D Ramanaidu was the first of the Daggubati family to have ventured out into the movies. He earned the moniker 'Movie Mughal' for his contribution to Indian cinema. He was one of the most renowned personalities. His sons- Rana's father Suresh Babu is now heading the Suresh Productions banner and looking after the Ramanaidu and 7 Acres studios. Suresh Babu's brother Daggubati Venkatesh is Rana's uncle. In addition, Rana and Naga Chaitanya are cousins.
On February 24, marking the birthday of Nani, Rana put up a status of him on his social media handle with Nani, where he was seen holding Nani's chin as a gesture of affection, writing 'Happy Birthday.' On the work front, Nani is ready to hit the screens with Dasara on March 30, and Rana is hands full with acting, production, new scripts, etc.
