Tollywood's veteran actor Venkatesh Daggubati's latest outing, his debut web series 'Rana Naidu', with nephew Rana Daggubati, hit the OTT giant Netflix India on March 10. The web series, which is a family crime drama met with a severe backlash from the viewers who were forced to watch the most unnecessary bold content laden with redundant cuss words.

The expectations were high on Rana Naidu not just because it marked Venkatesh's maiden OTT appearance in a web series but also the reason that he is coming together for the first time with his nephew Rana Daggubati. The 'Babai-Abbay' duo, although honest with their performances, couldn't enthrall the viewers of all ages and tastes like earlier.

However, the topic of Venkatesh's remuneration has surfaced on social media platforms after the release of Rana Naidu, wondering people what might have it taken for the veteran actor to sign this series. Reportedly, Venkatesh, who takes about Rs 10 Crore for a project as remuneration was paid Rs 12 Crore for Rana Naidu.

Rana Daggubati, on the other hand, was paid about Rs 8 Crore for his character. During the promotions, Venkatesh and Rana have warned the viewers to watch separately, as a disclaimer.

Based on Ray Donovan, the 2013's American Tv series, Rana Naidu is created by Karan Anshuman for the Indian audience. The script was written by Karmanya Ahuja, BVS Ravi, Vaibhav Vishal, and Karan Anshuman. BVS Ravi worked on its screenplay. Rana Naidu is directed by Suparn Verma and Karan Anshuman. Sangeet-Siddharth composed the soundtrack for the series.

Rana Naidu stars Sushant Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, Suchitra Pillai, Surveen Chawla, Rajesh Jais, Gaurav Chopra, Ashish Vidyarthi, Rajni Basumatary, Adithya Menon, Flora Saini, Priya Banerjee, and Ashwin Mushran among others in crucial roles.
