Renu Desai has always been candid about her life, family, and work. In a recent media interaction, she disclosed that she would be getting married again soon. For the unversed, it was reported that her engagement was called off by Renu; however, she has refuted the claims.

Responding to the reports of breaking up her second marriage with a Pune-based businessman, Renu stated, "My daughter was seven when I got engaged and was puzzled if I could allocate time for her. I decided to call off the wedding. She is now 13, and my kids are well mature."

Renu, a mother of two teen children, a girl and a boy, also mentioned her plans to get married in the next two years. Further, she also expressed that she would want to continue working in films and has two small-budget movies in the pipeline.

Renu also clarified that she is not interested in joining politics and affirmed that she would just continue doing meaningful cinema. Her daughter is in college studying architecture, while her son is enrolled in a music program. She refused to indulge in any further personal details.
