RRR, starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles is an epic period action drama made by SS Rajamouli, the visionary filmmaker from Tollywood. The movie went on to win an Oscar Award, which speaks volumes about the glory and merit of the movie.

RRR was initially released on March 25, 2022. The movie opened to extraordinary reception at the box office worldwide. It was released in five languages. Later, the movie was dubbed in Japanese and was also released in Russia, where it became the highest-grosser of any international/foreign film.

RRR Story

The movie is set in the pre-independence era and charts the life and struggle of two Telugu freedom fighters, whose characters were fictionalized for the story. Ram Charan played the role of Alluri Sita Ramaraju while Jr NTR donned the role of Komaram Bheem, to perfection. They both unite for a single cause- to bring down the British to save their country and people. The tale of friendship, freedom, and struggle is depicted with a riveting screenplay and narration.

RRR Becomes Third Highest-Grossing Indian Film Ever

As per the latest updates, the internet and the trade analysts of the film fraternity have shared information that RRR movie has emerged as the third highest-grossing Indian film in the world. The movie made more than Rs 1300 Crore from all over the world, standing third in place after Baahubali 2 and Dangal.

The epic movie stars Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Alison Doody, Olivia Morris, late Ray Stevenson, Makarand Deshpande, Rahul Ramakrishna, and Chatrapathi Sekhar among others in key roles.

RRR Crew

The movie's story was written by V Vijayendra Prasad. Dialogues are written by Sai Madhav Burra. SS Rajamouli wrote the film's screenplay in addition to helming the film. The cinematography was handled by KK Senthil Kumar and A Sreekar Prasad handled the editing. MM Keeravani who composed the film's thumping background score and music won an Oscar Award for the film. DVV Danayya bankrolled the movie under the DVV Entertainment banner on a budget of Rs 500 Crore.
