RRR In Japan: Ram Charan-Jr NTR Starrer Oscar-Winning Movie Scores A WHOPPING Gross; Sets A New Record

The movie RRR, starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead roles imprinted the movie-lovers all over the world with its content, performances, music, and visuals. Directed by SS Rajamouli, RRR enjoys the ever-green distinction of bringing the country its first-ever prestigious Oscar Award. The movie was first released all over the world on March 25, 2022. The movie was re-released on the occasion of its Oscar-win in select places, and all shows were sold out.

With a vision, director Rajamouli and his team have planned to release the movie in Japanese for viewers in Japan. Rajamouli's earlier films- Baahubali 1 & 2 were also released in Japan, where the film was met with a humongous response, creating a huge fan base for the cast and crew. This time too, Rajamouli ensured that the viewers are enthralled by RRR, one of the masterpieces in Indian cinema.

Needless to say, RRR's popular track 'Naatu Naatu' won the Golden Globes award as well as the Academy Award. MM Keeravani, the musician and lyricist Chandrabose went up the stage to receive their Oscar awards.

According to the latest update, RRR in Japan has officially become the first film in the international films category to register the highest number of footfalls, which is over 1 million. The movie also surpassed the record of Superstar Rajinikanth and actress Meena's 'Muthu' records, by earning more money than the former, positioning itself as the highest grosser in the Indian films released in Japan. The movie so far made Rs 97 Crore in Japan alone.

Owing to the achievement, director SS Rajamouli thanked the viewers and fans in Japan with the phrase 'Arigato Guzaimasu,' which is a highly-polite way to say 'Thank You.'

RRR stars Alia Bhatt, Olivia Morris, Samuthirakani, Rahul Ramakrishna, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, Chatrapathi Sekhar, Makarand Deshpande, and Rajeev Kanakala among others in crucial roles. RRR was produced by DVV Danayya under the DVV Entertainment banners.
