Pan-India star Prabhas' much-awaited action entertainer written and directed by Prashanth Neel, Salaar: Ceasefire is one of the frequent topics to trend on social media. The movie is gearing up for a grand worldwide theatrical release on September 28.

The film will release in two parts and the first one is called Salaar: Ceasefire. The teaser of the movie was recently dropped and it was released amid anticipation. It was received with a thumping response by the fans.

Prabhas Pre-Release Business

The makers of the movie, Hombale Films, are said to have been quoting a massive amount of Rs 1000 Crore. Especially, while distributors for the Telugu region are quoting reasonable figures, the makers are not ready to give in and are demanding a much bigger amount.

According to the latest buzz, Salaar will make about Rs 200 Crore from the two Telugu states alone, if the distributors heed the producers.

The filmmakers' logic behind quoting exorbitant prices for Salaar is that Prabhas' recent release Adipurush has made about Rs 400 Crore from Hindi and Telugu markets, owing to the stamina of Prabhas.

Going by this, the first part, Salaar Ceasefire will collect about Rs 500 Crore in revenue from theatrical sales alone. Depending on the success and the intrigue around the sequel, it is also expected to make around or more than Rs 500 Crore. In addition, there is so much money from the OTT rights.

Salaar stars Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy, Ramachandra Raju, Madhu Guruswamy, Saptagiri, Prudhvi Raj, Jhansi, and Naga Mahesh among others in key roles.

Written and directed by Salaar, the movie is bankrolled by Vijay Kiragandur under the Hombale Films banner. Ujwal Kulkarni and Bhuvan Gowda worked as the film's editor and cinematographer. Ravi Basrur composed the film's entire background score and music. The movie is made on a budget of about Rs 250 Crore.
