Salaar OTT Release Date: Digital Premiere Of Prabhas & Prashanth Neel’s Film Delayed? Here’s The Reason

Salaar OTT Release Delayed: Following the phenomenal success of Yash-starrer KGF: Chapter 2 last year, filmmaker Prashanth Neel returned to theatres with his latest directorial project titled Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire last week. Starring Prabhas, Shruti Haasan, and Prithviraj Sukumaran, Salaar is produced by Vijay Kiragandur's Hombale Films.
Amidst great anticipation, Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire marked its theatrical premiere on December 21. Despite contending with Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki, featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Salaar has received widespread acclaim and is currently enjoying a prosperous run in cinemas across the nation.
As Prashanth Neel enthusiasts are flocking to theaters to watch Salaar, a section of moviegoers are eagerly awaiting its OTT release. Well, we've got an update on Salaar OTT release and it's going to make fans a little sad.
SALAAR OTT RELEASE DELAYED?
We're saying so because the latest report suggests that the OTT release of Salaar has been delayed. Yes, you read that right! It has been reported that Salaar has been acquired by Netflix India at a substantial price. Earlier, speculations had indicated the possibility of an OTT release in the second week of January.
However, the OTT release is likely to experience a slight delay, possibly due to Sankranthi. The festive period in Andhra Pradesh commences on January 12, attracting families to cinema halls. The filmmakers aim to capitalize on this period. Notably, the major film slated for release on Makar Sankranthi from Tollywood is Guntur Kaaram, though the buzz surrounding the film has been relatively low until now.
However, an official announcement regarding the same is still awaited from the makers's side.
