Pan-India star Prabhas' upcoming action thriller film written and directed by Prashanth Neel, the one who helmed KGF 1 & 2, titled Salaar, is in the last leg of its production. The movie stars Prabhas and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles, marking their first collaboration, After a sensational hit like KGF, Prashanth Neel is directing Salaar, and the expectations are really high for this film.

Salaar is being made on a budget of Rs 200 Crore and is aiming for a theatrical release all over the world on September 23. The movie is now said to have made the highest-ever overseas deal for a whopping amount.

According to the available information, Salaar's overseas rights were sold for a massive amount of Rs 90 Crore. Even RRR was only sold for Rs 75 Crore. His other film Baahubali 2, which made him a pan-India superstar registered an overseas business of Rs 65 Crore. His last film Radhe Shyam made only Rs 24 Crore for overseas rights. Salaar stars an ensemble cast including actor-director-producer Prithviraj Sukumaran, actress Shruti Haasan, veteran Jagapathi Babu, Sriya Reddy, Madhu Guruswamy, and Easwari Rao among others in key roles.

The film's music is composed by KGF fame Ravi Basrur. Bhuvan Gowda is cranking the camera and Ujwal Kulkarni is on board as its editor. Vijay Kiragandur produced the movie under the Hombale Films banner.
