Director Prashanth Neel Opens About Salaar & Its Connection To Ugramm

Speaking in an interview, director Prashanth Neel opened up about Salaar being a remake of Ugramm, his earlier superhit film. While several say that Salaar is a remake of Ugramm, the director differs. Elaborating further, Prashanth revealed that he wanted Ugramm's success to be as big as KGF.

Partly agreeing to the criticism that Ugramm's storyline is medlied with KGF's style of cinematic universe, Prashanth clarified, "Salaar is not a direct remake but an adaptation of the same with significant adjustment to suit the characters Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran played in Salaar." He also said that he would take that comparison as a compliment.
