Salaar: Cease Fire Theatrical Rights: Prabhas' Salaar teaser dropped in the wee hours today, and the internet is abuzz with hype and reactions. The movie, written and directed by Prashanth Neel, will be the biggest action drama of the year.

Salaar teaser was met with a thumping response, but a section of fans seemed disappointed with the teaser. The movie's first part, Cease Fire, showcased Prabhas in a never-seen-before avatar of a rugged man on a vengeance.

Fans have also spotted similarities between Prashanth Neel's KGF 2 and Salaar, which they believe is an indirect hint at Prashanth Neel's universe.

Salaar: Cease Fire Theatrical Business

The makers of Hombale Films are asking for a whopping price for the theatrical rights in Andhra Pradesh, Nizam, and Ceded areas.

Andhra and Nizam areas, the makers are quoting Rs 70-80 Crore individually, with a clear intention of earning about Rs 200 Crore from the Telugu version itself. However, Hombale Films released KGF 2 and Kantara on their own by paying a nominal commission without advances.

As this news surfaced, fans started to express concern about the film's outcome and result. They believe the amount is huge, and for the movie to achieve a decent amount, Rs 60 Crore for Andhra, Rs 50 Crore for Nizam, and Rs 20 Crore for Ceeded are the best bet.

Salaar Cast

Prabhas played the titular role in Salaar. Prithviraj Sukumaran plays the antagonist's character Vardharaja Mannaar. Shruti Haasan was roped in as the female lead Aadya, paired opposite for the first time with Prabhas. Jagapathi Babu will be seen in the role of Raja Mannaar, father of Varadharaja Mannaar. In addition, the movie features Madhu Guruswamy, Easwari Rao, and Sriya Reddy.

Salaar Theatrical Release Date

The much-hyped movie, which is going to be one of the most remarkable action films ever made in India, will hit the screens on September 28 this year. The movie will release in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.

Salaar Crew

The movie, written and directed by Prashanth Neel, is produced by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films. The crew of KGF, Ravi Basrur for the music, and Bhuvan Gowda for cinematography, have reunited with the producer-director. Ujwal Kulkarni worked as Salaar's editor.
