One of the much-awaited and entertaining works of the actress is Citadel. The web series is being directed by Raj and DK, who unleashed an other side of Samantha through their web series The Family Man 2.
The Indian version of the high-octane action drama created by Raj and DK, Citadel is the big thing Samantha Ruth Prabhu is currently pinning hopes on. The internationally acclaimed series is set to enthrall viewers back in India on Amazon Prime Video.
Meanwhile, a couple of days ago, there was news about how Samantha and her co-star in the series, Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan had intimate kissing scenes.
Now, the new update has come from the horse's mouth. Samantha confirmed that she plays the role of Priyanka Chopra's mother in the Indian version. According to the report in TOI, when Samantha was approached, she confirmed the news that she is playing mother to Nadia Sinh.
Also, a source they quoted explained, "The international and Indian versions of Citadel are set in two different eras. Priyanka's character is a child in Samantha's Citadel. It's like saying Tabu played Irrfan Khan's mother in Life Of Pi. They didn't even meet during the shooting."
