Veteran actor Sarath Babu, who had acted in more than 250 films in the south-Indian films, breathed his last at AIG Hospitals in Hyderabad on May 22, 2023. The actor was 71 at the time of his death.

Sarath Babu suffered multiple organ failure due to Sepsis. He first got treated for his health conditions in Bengaluru before coming to Hyderabad, where he was again rushed to another hospital. On Monday, doctors pronounced him dead.

The entire Tollywood and Kollywood industries have poured in condolences for the actor, who had worked with the likes of Superstar Rajinikanth to Megastar Chiranjeevi, and Kamal Haasan.

Sarath Babu & Rama Prabha's Marriage

It all began when Sarath Babu, who was then struggling to find a hold in the industry, approached Rama Prabha for shelter. In those days, Rama Prabha, who was a busy artist, rented out her huge house divided into several rooms on the terrace to industry aspirants.

Rama Prabha and Sarath Babu soon fell for each other and quickly got married, immediately. They tied the knot in the year 1974 and got divorced in 1988. In one of their previous interviews, both opined, marrying quickly at a young age was one of the reasons for their marriage to end up like that.

By the time they got married, Rama Prabha was an established and busiest actress while Sarath Babu is still trying hard to earn work. Rama Prabha is ten years senior to Sarath Babu in the industry and played an important role in establishing him as an actor.

The couple didn't have any children and once said,"We didn't have time and never thought about it throughout our relationship."

It was believed that Rama Prabha had registered all her property to Sarath Babu or Sarath Babu had claimed the rights to all her wealth during the time of divorce. Later on, Rama Prabha spoke openly about it and said, "I still smile and greet him whenever we chance upon each other but he is rigid. It is not my problem."

In the year 1990, Sarath Babu married Sneha Nambiar, the daughter of an actor but divorced her in 2011. He was rumoured to be married for the third time secretly to a journalist, about which Sarath Babu many a time dodged to answer.

Rama Prabha is born on May 5, 1947. She is 76 years old and was elder than Sarath Babu. She belongs to Madanapalle of Chittoor district and is a relative of actor Rajendra Prasad through cousins.

She lives in Madanapalle at her house and is active on YouTube as she runs her own channel where she cooks, shares her life events, and connects with her fans and the industry.
