Sarath Babu (71), Veteran South Indian Actor Dies!
Sarath Babu Death: Renowned South-Indian actor, Sarathbabu died at a hospital in Hyderabad where he received a long treatment for a prolonged illness. He was rushed to a hospital a couple of weeks ago when he complained of physical discomfort, a few days ago.
On Monday morning, the team of specialist doctors who have been following the case of Sarath Babu closely, announced his passing away officially. Condolences are pouring in from the film fraternities of Tollywood and Kollywood, where he predominantly worked.
In their statement, they specified Sepsis (a dangerous infection where the entire body and its organs are attacked) as the cause of death. Sarath Babu suffered organ failure of the kidneys, lungs, liver, and other vital organs.
Sarath Babu's Notable Work
The good-looking actor first gained attention by playing the lead role of a hero in the 'Rama Rajyam movie, which was released in 1973. In his second film, he played the role of an antagonist. Ever since, the actor went on to play several characters that had positive and negative shades to them, giving his best by making them remarkable.
The characters he played in films like Maro Charitra, Guppedu Manasu, Srungara Ramudu, 47 Rojulu, Seethakoka Chiluka, Sithara, Anveshana, Swathimuthyam, Sagara Sangamam, Samsaram Oka Chadarangam, Criminal, Annayya, etc are a few examples that depict his talent. He worked with renowned directors and technicians during his prime time and later on was seen in a couple of serials for television, especially the most popular ETV soap opera titled 'Antharangalu.'

Sarath Babu belongs to Amudalavalasa village in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh. However, his ancestors have roots in West Bengal. His original name is Sathyambabu Deekshith. He was born to Vijayasankara Deekshithulu and Suseela Devi. He wanted to become a civil servant by cracking IPS but he ventured into theatre.
His tryst with the film industry happened due to Rama Vijetha production house, which was floated by a person belonging to Anakapalli, father of 'Nishabdam' director Hemanth Madhukar.
