Ahead of the film's theatrical release, the makers of the film have embarked on a vigorous promotional campaign. Samantha Ruth Prabhu is single-handedly shouldering the film's responsibility. She is taking part in interviews, chat sessions, lives, and public events to promote Shaakuntalam.

In one such candid video interview, the petite actress was seen sharing five lesser-known or crazy details about Shaakuntalam.

She said, here are the crazy facts about Shaakuntalam that people are unaware of.

1) I had a flower allergy, and I wore flower jewelry throughout shooting for several days. I had a flower imprint like a tattoo on my arm. It didn't go away, and nobody could do anything about it. I used to cover it up with makeup. It took about six months for it to go away.

2) The second one is that I dubbed in three languages for Shaakuntalam in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. It was hard but necessary and is something I will continue doing.

3) I got bit by a Rabbit during the film's shoot. Apparently, they're not very cute.

4) I was wearing beautiful costumes made by Neeta Lulla. Some were breezy and a few are very heavy. Heavy means 30 kgs kind of heavy. The light weighted lehengas somehow didn't happen for the songs, and I ended up wearing the heavier ones. Every time I spun for a shot, the lehengas pulled me out of the frame. Choreographer Raju Master shouted at me saying 'Can't you be inside the frame?' But I was telling him 'I am trying but the lehenga is taking me out of the frame.' Sometimes these shots took some 10 to 15 takes.

5) And the fifth one is that my hair in the film is not real. Obviously, it wasn't my real hair.
