Singer Chinmayi On Incident Against Women On Holi, Says 'We'd Rather Ban Those Men...'

Meanwhile, Chinmayi is currently enjoying the phase of motherhood with actor-director husband Rahul Ravindran. The couple got married in the year 2014 and welcomed twin boys recently.

Chinmayi

Playback Singer, social media enthusiast and activist Chinmayi Sripaada is one of the very few people to voice out issues others usually dodge. The famous dubbing artist took the internet by storm once again by speaking her mind.

The festival of colours-Holi was celebrated amid great fervor and fun on March 8 throughout the country. As fun as Holi actually is and looks, under disguise, several men take an opportunity to misbehave with women by molesting them. Twitter and other social media platforms have been dumped with such videos, showcasing the inconvenience women faced in random places. Several celebrities have reacted to these posts that depicted women in vulnerable conditions under the disguise of Holi celebrations.

When a Twitter user commented 'BanHoli Gang,' Chinmayi Sripaada wrote, "Nobody wants to ban Holi. We d rather ban those men who use Indian festivals and long queues in religious spaces to molest women.

Is that too much to ask??!" (sic)
