Actor Ram Pothineni's recent mass action family drama titled Skanda: The Attacker, had an underwhelming experience at the box office after hitting the screens on September 28. Written and directed by Boyapati Srinu, Skanda features Sreeleela as the female lead, marking the first collaboration between the lead actors.

Skanda is the movie is Ram's first pan-India release, after The Warriorr, a bilingual in Tamil and Telugu. Ram pinned several hopes on Skanda after delivering a series of flops. His hard work translated on the screen as he played Bhaskar, a determined son of a family. However, the movie couldn't help his career one bit. But, the movie made a decent pre-release business that is the highest so far in Ram's career.

Skanda movie's digital streaming rights are secured by Disney Plus Hotstar for a good amount of money. According to the latest update, the movie is now set to entertain the viewers at large by streaming on the platform very soon. After the unsuccessful theatrical run, the makers want to release Skanda on the OTT on October 27, reportedly. This is likely a tentative date and the official announcement will be made shortly.

The movie stars Ram Pothineni, Sreeleela, Saiee Manjrekar, Prince Cecil, Sharath Lohithaswa, Prabhakar, Ajay Purkar, Daggubati Raja, Srikanth, Babloo Prithviraj, Indraja, Gauthami, among others. Urvashi Rautela sizzled in a special song called 'Cult Mode.'

The full-action entertainer is written and directed by Boyapati Srinu. M Rathnam penned dialogues for the film. Tammiraju and Santosh Detake handled the film's editing and cinematography. S Thaman composed the background score and music. Srinivasaa Chitturi bankrolled the movie under the Srinivasaa Silver Screen banner on a budget of about Rs 50 Crore. Zee Studios is distributing the movie.
