Actor Ram Pothineni's Skanda: The Attacker, hit the screens on September 28. Written and directed by Boyapati Srinu, Skanda features Sreeleela as the female lead, marking the first collaboration between the lead actors.

Skanda is Ram Pothineni's first pan-India release, after The Warriorr, a bilingual in Tamil and Telugu. Ram pinned several hopes on Skanda after delivering a series of flops. His hard work translated on the screen as he played Bhaskar, a determined son of a family. However, the movie couldn't help his career one bit. But, the movie made a decent pre-release business that is the highest so far in Ram's career.

Skanda OTT Record On Disney Plus Hotstar

The movie which was met with a lukewarm response at the box office has now been trending on the internet as it made its digital streaming debut. After getting postponed a couple of times, Skanda finally hit Disney Plus Hotstar on November 2.

As soon as the movie was made available on the OTT, subscribers attacked the movie leading it to become the highest-watched Telugu movie on its release day in 2023.

No matter what, Boyapati has a thing with these mass masala films, and his hero characterizations are on another level. Be it Ram Pothineni in Skanda, Balakrishna in many of his career's biggest hits, or Allu Arjun in Sarainodu, his films guarantee an exciting watch.

The movie stars Ram Pothineni, Sreeleela, Saiee Manjrekar, Prince Cecil, Sharath Lohithaswa, Prabhakar, Ajay Purkar, Daggubati Raja, Srikanth, Babloo Prithviraj, Indraja, Gauthami, among others. Urvashi Rautela sizzled in a special song called 'Cult Mode.'

The full-action entertainer is written and directed by Boyapati Srinu. M Rathnam penned dialogues for the film. Tammiraju and Santosh Detake handled the film's editing and cinematography. S Thaman composed the background score and music. Srinivasaa Chitturi bankrolled the movie under the Srinivasaa Silver Screen banner on a budget of about Rs 50 Crore. Zee Studios is distributing the movie.
