South Entertainment Highlights: Mahesh Babu's SSMB 28 Title Rumour, Akhil's Big Note After Agent's Failure

Inspection by the Central Agency of Enforcement at LYCA Productions, a leading film producer in Tamil Nadu. The inspection is being conducted at ten locations, including the office in Chennai. LYCA Productions is the producer of films including Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan 1, Ponniyin Selvan 2, and Lokesh Kanagaraj's Vikram, starring Kamal Haasan. The enforcement probe at the production company comes after the continued success of three films. The information received from ED sources is that the investigation is being conducted on the basis of the complaint received regarding black money.

After Karthikeya 2, actor Nikhil Siddharth's latest thriller film SPY is set to hit the screens. The movie marks the directorial debut of popular editor Garry BH. Reportedly the film throws some light on the country's most-kept secret, the death of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. The movie will hit the screens on June 29 pan-India, in five languages.

Sai Dharam Tej-starrer supernatural thriller written and directed by Karthik Dandu hit the screens to a thumping response on April 21. The movie has Samyuktha as the female lead character and the movie became a blockbuster success. After the theatrical run, the movie is now ready to stream on Netflix from May 21 in four south-Indian languages.

Following the failure of Agent, Akhil Akkineni penned a note for his fans. He said, "I want to sincerely thank the cast and crew of Agent who dedicated their lives to see our film come to life. We tried our level best, but the film, unfortunately, didn't translate the way we wished it would on the screen, and we could not deliver a good film for you." He mentioned special thanks to the producer of the film Anil Sunkara and the distributors. He assured his fans of a stronger comeback.

Superstar Mahesh Babu's upcoming film with Trivikram Srinivas, SSMB 28, hit the news again. The actor who is fond of going on international holidays with family in tow has taken off on another holiday to escape the scorching summer of Hyderabad. Yet again, the filmmakers had planned for another long schedule from June 5th. The schedule will take a stretch of three months. Meanwhile, the teaser of the movie will be released in theatres that play the movie Mosagallaku Mosagadu as a re-release. On the other hand, these are the options in consideration for the title. 'Amaravati Ki Atu Itu' and 'Gunturu Karam' are being discussed, reportedly.
