Although Mahesh Babu time and again mentioned that he wouldn't want to make any straight Bollywood films and isn't interested in the pan-India concept, for SSMB 28, things might turn out to be a bit different.
Superstar Mahesh Babu is taking part in the shooting of his upcoming action entertainer written and directed by none other than 'Matala Maantrikudu' as his fan call him, Trivikram Srinivas. Tentatively titled SSMB 28, the movie's second schedule is currently under progress in Hyderabad.
SSMB 28 is going to be a crucial film for Mahesh Babu as his earlier film by Parasuram Petla, 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' wasn't as successful as it was supposed to be. The movie also marks Mahesh's third collaboration with Trivikram after 'Khaleja' and 'Athadu'. Pooja Hegde, who is submerged in back-to-back big-budgeted failure films with star heroes is the film's female lead.
According to the latest buzz, we hear that the director wants to make the film on a pan-India level, owing to the trend that has already caught up with the Tollywood industry. Actors like Allu Arjun, Ram Charan, Jr NTR, and youngster Nikhil Siddhartha have tasted massive success at the pan-India level. Although Mahesh Babu time and again mentioned that he wouldn't want to make any straight Bollywood films and isn't interested in the pan-India concept, for SSMB 28, things might turn out to be a bit different.
As part of the same, Tollywood is abuzz with a rumour that Trivikram is reportedly looking to rope in Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar to be part of the movie's important role. Although there were many reports about Sreeleela and Samyuktha being part of the second lead role, there was no official confirmation of anything about the same. Now, this interesting piece of information came out as a shocker to the fans. However, things are yet to be finalized in this regard by the filmmakers as the shooting has begun already and is progressing at a lightning pace.
Meanwhile, SSMB 28 is a production venture of the Haarika and Hassine Creations banner. S Thaman is on board as the film's music director. PS Vinod is the cinematographer and AS Prakash is the Production Design head.
