Superstar Mahesh Babu's upcoming film, tentatively referred to as SSMB 28, written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas, is under filming at jet speed in Hyderabad. The film's key cast and crew are working on this schedule. Pooja Hegde, the leading lady, is also taking part in the filming. An interesting rumour about the lady lass getting a special perk for SSMB 28 is doing the rounds on the internet.
People of the Telugu film industry and the Tollywood fraternity are aware of the epic director-actress combination of Trivikram and Pooja Hegde. The duo has come together for many crazy projects and delivered massive industry hits. The actress and the director's rapport translates into the work they put into the silver screen. Pooja Hegde and Trivikram initially collaborated for the first time in 'Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava', Jr NTR's one of the notable films in 2018.
Later, she was cast opposite Allu Arjun in the most successful film 'Ala Vaikunthapuramuloo.' Both films were released back-to-back, making them a powerful combination. Trivikram now opted for Pooja Hegde to be her leading lady for Mahesh Babu's film as well.
When the casting was announced, it raised a few brows-Pooja Hegde teaming up with Trivikram again, despite being part of back-to-back megaflops in 2022 like Beast, Radhe Shyam, Cirkus, and Acharya.
On the other hand, Mahesh Babu is also known for not repeating actresses in his films- except for Trisha. This time, Pooja Hegde is the second heroine he is repeating for another time.
According to the latest buzz, Trivikram Srinivas has commissioned a brand new luxury car for Pooja Hegde to use throughout the shooting of SSMB 28. Now that the next schedule is ready to commence, the makers are planning to offer the actress a new car. Usually, the film's lead actor was given such gifts and perks, but the unit is ensuring comfort and convenience to the actress, according to a report in Great Andhra. Another theory behind the development is that hiring one would be more expensive than buying a new one. There is no official confirmation about the same, however.
