SSMB 29: Rajamouli In Talks With THIS Bollywood Beauty For The Period Adventure Drama With Mahesh Babu!

Maverick director SS Rajamouli, who took the Indian cinema to international popularity by telling stories that have commercial value as well, is back from the USA after an overwhelming response for his last film RRR starring Jr NTR, Ram Charan, and Alia Bhatt. The movie's 'Naatu Naatu' song won the Golden Globes Award for the Best Original Song category and is awaiting a big win at the Academy Awards.

Rajamouli, who is known for making big-budget successful films with epic combinations raised the bar and expectations of his next after RRR, with Mahesh Babu's film referred to as SSMB 29. When the director and actor announced their collaboration, it was like a dream come true for the fans of the Superstar. The film's story and script works are being taken care of by Rajamouli's father, popular writer Vijayendra Prasad. He confirmed that SSMB 29 will be a period-action drama with an adventure backdrop, showcasing Mahesh Babu in a new light.

While the pre-production works are happening parallelly, the filmmaker is said to have been in talks with Bollywood sultry beauty Deepika Padukone for the female lead's character in the film opposite Mahesh Babu. The rumours mills suggest that the director could convince the actress to sign on the dotted line so that the combination would pump the movie's scale a notch higher. Given her performance in the recent blockbuster 'Pathaan', Rajamouli is keen on Deepika as his heroine for SSMB 29. If the news comes true, it would be a delight to watch Mahesh and Deepika Padukone together on the screen, under the able direction of Rajamouli. The movie might even go on to win several awards and acclaim just like the RRR movie.
