Tollywood's Massraja Ravi Teja's latest crime-action drama Tiger Nageswara Rao, which was released for Dussehra on October 20, is continuing to perform on the silver screens and is about to complete a three-week run.

Written and directed by a debutant Vamcee, Tiger Nageswara Rao was one of the most prestigious films in Ravi Teja's career, as the actor had undergone a vigorous makeover and worked hard to bring the character of a real-life notorious thief called Stuartpuram Nageswara Rao.

The trailer amplified expectations for this film but when it was released, the movie didn't match the expectations it set for the film buffs.

Tiger Nageswara Rao Premise

Set in the time of 1970, in the infamous village called Stuartpuram in Andhra Pradesh, which is known for thieves and burglars, there is a notorious criminal by the name Nageswara Rao, who is referred to as Tiger Nageswara Rao. He is the man behind several daring heists and has used ingenious methods to escape. He earned an image among his community and villagers while the cops were always hunting him down after he escaped from prison.

The movie opened to great enthusiasm and encouraging reviews on October 20. Tiger Nageswara Rao's bookings were decent but after the first long weekend, the movie's collection fell flat owing to several factors. The movie features Massraja Ravi Teja as Tiger Nageswara Rao. Actress Nupur Sanon will be seen in the role of Sara. Anupam Kher as IB Officer Raghavendra Rajput, Renu Desai as Hemalatha Lavanam, Jisshu Sengupta, Murali Sharma as DSP Vishwanath Sastry, and Gayatri Bharadwaj among others are part of the film's cast.

The crime-action drama is co-written and directed by Vamsee. Srikanth Vissa penned the dialogues for the movie which is bankrolled by Abhishek Agarwal under the Abhishek Agarwal Arts banner. R Madhi cranked the camera and GV Prakash Kumar worked on the film's entire background score and music. Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao worked on the film's editing.
