Ashu Reddy & Surekha Vani Among KP Chowdary's Call List: The Tollywood drugs case came to the surface again, with Cyberabad police taking producer and distributor KP Chowdary into custody. The latest arrest has revealed some of the celebrity names of the Telugu entertainment industry, much to the shock of the respective celebs' fans.

Bigg Boss Telugu fame Ashu Reddy, who first gained attention for her similarity to Samantha Ruth Prabhu and character actor Surekha Vani, are two popular names among KP Chowdary's call list. The duo, along with several budding artists, will now be called for a police investigation regarding KP Chowdary's possession of drugs.

After the news broke out on the night of June 23, the media was abuzz with the rumour that Ashu Reddy and Surekha Vani might be involved in the drug peddling case of KP Chowdary.

In light of the shocking allegations, Ashu Reddy, who is a social media personality with a high following and a YouTube channel owner, tried to clarify, saying, "To whomsoever concerned...Some sections of the media are talking all kinds of falsehoods with regard to my association with some people..I strongly condemn it and will let the relevant people know the truth of the matter, if it comes to that. Openly posting my number will not be tolerated," (sic)

Meanwhile, KP Chowdary was nabbed after confirmed information to the Cyberabad Police that the accused had procured intoxicating material from a Nigerian individual in Goa. He reportedly opened a club in Goa after trying his hands at film distribution. He reportedly backed the Telugu version release of Rajinikanth's Kabali and a few other films, where he didn't make much money.

According to the statement released to the press by the cops, they mentioned KP Chowdary had connections with celebrities and friends in the industry who involve in drugs.

On the other hand, a few pictures of actress Surekha Vani snapped with KP Chowdary during a party are going viral on the internet. Going by the pictures, it is believed that the duo is close and shares a cordial relationship. Amid these pictures and the outburst of the news, fans and the public believe that there could be truth in the allegations.
