The actor from the Nandamuri family suffered from diabetes that went unchecked as well as severe blockages in the heart, which slimmed down his chances of survival. After the death news broke out on the evening of February 18, the Nandamuri clan and fraternity of Tollywood along with the Prime Minister of India and other politicians condoled the death and took to their social media handles to offer tributes.

Nandamuri Jr NTR, Balakrishna, Kalyan Ram, and Vijaya Sai Reddy among others were spotted mourning the death of their dear brother. Taraka Ratna married Alekhya Reddy in 2012 and he was survived by his wife and two daughters.

Taraka Ratna had a wonderful start in the Telugu film industry and coming from the Nandamuri family was one of the key features of his debut at the age of 20. His father, the son of the late legendary personality Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, Nandamuri Mohana Krishna was a renowned cinematographer.

Taraka Ratna was launched in Tollywood with nine of his projects being announced on the day of his launch. However, the 'Okato Number Kurradu' actor couldn't become a star hero although his performances were appreciated in several films. He turned into a villain and character actor later on, for which he received great acclaim.
