Vaathi Day 3 Box Office Collection: Dhanush-Venky Atluri's Bilingual Film Sets The Cash Registers Ringing

Dhanush's latest release written and directed by Venky Atluri titled Vaathi (Sir in Telugu) is getting rave reviews to post its theatrical release on February 17. The movie stars Samyuktha as the female lead. The movie is made bilingual marking Dhanush's Telugu debut. With each passing day, Sir/Vaathi is getting good numbers at the box office.

The movie charts the journey of Bala Gangadhar Tilak, a junior college lecturer at an institute in Tirupathi. He is a third-grade faculty and is upset about the management's interest in making money from education. When the goons force students and teachers to join private institutions for a whopping fee, Bala retorts.

The movie, going by the figures, clearly suggests a surge in patronage. With positive word of mouth spreading for the film and no other film to compete at the box office, Vaathi/ Sir is making a kill at the ticket counters.

The movie stars P Sai Kumar as the antagonist and features seasoned actors like Tanikella Bharani, Aadukalam Naren, Samuthirakani, Hyper Aadi, Rajendran, Ilavarasu, Hareesh Peradi, Praveena, and Bharathiraja among others in important roles. Akkineni Sumanth played a cameo in the movie.

J Yuvaraj worked as the cinematographer of the film and Naveen Nooli took care of the editing. GV Prakash Kumar composed the entire soundtrack and music.
