Vaathi OTT Release Date & Time: Dhanush's Bilingual Movie By Venky Atluri To Stream On Netflix From March 17

South India's pride, the multi-talented Kollywood rockstar Dhanush, who made his Telugu debut with the latest action drama titled 'Vaathi', 'Sir', in Telugu started to strike at the box office by continuing his success streak. The movie which was written and directed by Venky Atluri gave a befitting start to the talented actor-producer with fans raving about the film upon its release on February 17. Samyuktha played the female lead role in the movie opposite Dhanush.

The movie talks about Bala, a character played by Dhanush, who is a third-grade lecturer at a junior college in Tirupathi. He is committed and passionate. Bala believes education is key to solving all problems and is against commercializing it. He stands against all odds when the time comes.

Since Vaathi was released to a super positive response at the box office, the movie will not make its OTT debut anytime soon. According to the guidelines and agreements signed by the OTT giants and Producers' Council, a successful movie should be allowed adequate time to perform at the theatres before making its way to the OTTs. Going by the same, we might expect Vaathi to hit the digital streaming platform from March 17.

Vaathi's digital streaming rights for Tamil and Telugu were acquired by Netflix India, which is aiming to bag more regional content. Meanwhile, the satellite rights of Sir/Vaathi were bagged by Sun TV.

The movie includes a stellar cast in the form of Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani, Samuthirakani, Aadukalam Naren, Hyper Aadi, Narra Srinivas, Ilavarasu, Rajendran, Hareesh Peradi, Praveena, and Sha Ra among others in crucial roles. Sumanth appeared in a special cameo.
