Nandamuri Balakrishna's celebrated Sankranthi release Veera Simha Reddy has enthralled his fans like never before. The movie, in which he played a dual role, fetched the actor's career's highest openings and created a record for its USA premieres for more than one reason. The movie is special to Balayya fans who made it a point to make the film a memorable one for the veteran actor. Written and directed by Gopichand Malineni, who earlier bagged success with Ravi Teja-starrer 'Krack', Veera Simha Reddy was released all over the world on January 12.

Upon its theatrical release, Veera Simha Reddy is reviewed as an out-and-out fan fest for Balayya's mass-loving ardent followers. The story revolves around a father and son played by Balakrishna, set in the backdrop of the Pulicherla village of Rayalaseema, the land of factionalism.

Veera Simha Reddy tries to put an end to the factionalism but had to face his biggest challenge from his sister Bhanumathi, played by Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.
