Back here in India, while the support and cheering for RRR is continuing, a few remarks by Tollywood's veteran producer-director, Tammareddy Bharadwaja have stirred up a controversy. His comments about the makers of the RRR movie spending about Rs 80 Crore for the promotions at the Oscars were ridiculed. Although it could be true, another veteran filmmaker, Raghavendra Rao K countered Tammareddy.

He put out his opinion through a social media post in Telugu, which reads, "Dear friend Bharadwaja, We all should feel proud at the moment for the name RRR has earned for Telugu cinema, Telugu literature, Telugu actors, and Telugu director." He questioned Tammareddy Bharadwaja, "Do you have any information on the accounts? Do you opine legendary directors like James Cameron and Steven Speilberg have showered applause on RRR after taking money?" he asked.
