Viduthalai Part 1 Telugu Release: Vetrimaaran's Crime Thriller With Vijay Sethupathi & Soori To Release On....
Vidhuthalai Part 1, a periodic police procedural crime thriller film written and directed by the maverick filmmaker Vetrimaaran, hit the screens all over Tamil Nadu and a few other parts of the world on March 31. Viduthalai opened to a massive response and critical acclaim from fans and critics alike. The movie stars Vijay Sethupathi and Soori as the protagonists. Viduthalai earned Rs 8 Crore on the first day itself.
Upon its theatrical release, the movie, which is raging in terms of acclaims, appreciations, and box office collection, was reviewed as another cult movie from Vetrimaaran. Soori, who earlier played side kick characters has established himself as a solid actor through the character of Kumaresan.
Coming to the film's story, the first part of Viduthalai is about a police constable Kumaresan, who gets recruited for Operation Ghosthunt. The operation is to capture Perumal Vaathiyar, leader of the separatist group.
South-Indian films have a great impact on their viewers of all languages and Telugu-speaking people have always adored Tamil films. Viduthalai stars Soori as Kumaresan, Vijay Sethupathi as Perumal aka Vaathiyaar, Bhavani Sre, Chetan, Ilavarasu, Munnar Ramesh, Saravana Subbiah, and Balaji Sakthivel in key roles. Director Gautham Vasudev Menon and cinematographer-director Rajiv Menon played prominent roles in the movie.
The Vetrimaaran's directorial is produced by Elred Kumar, under the RS Infotainment and Grass Root Film Company banners. R Velraj worked as the cinematographer and legendary musician, Maestro Ilaiyaraaja composed the film's entire soundtrack. The movie is based on Thunaivan by B Jeyamohan, who co-wrote the film's screenplay.
