Rashmika Mandanna's recent morphed deep fake video sent down chills among celebrities and female actresses, who were astonished by the vices of technology. The actress's video that went viral became a concern and she aptly called for legal involvement.
While many condemned the atrocious act of this deep fake video, the latest and the most awaited response from Rashmika Mandanna's rumoured boyfriend Vijay Deverakonda is finally out.
After the news of the government cracking down on deepfakes after Rashmika Mandanna's viral video, Vijay Deverakonda shared a news update about the same and wrote, "Extremely important steps for the future. This shouldn't happen to anyone. Also an efficient accessible cyber wing for quick crackdowns and punishment will make people more secure (sic)"
Earlier, after the video came to light, Rashmika Mandanna expressed her shocking fears and wrote, "I feel really hurt to share this and have to talk about the deepfake video of me being spr€ad online.
Something like this is honestly, extremely scary not only for me, but also for each one of us who today is vulnerable to so much harm because of how technology is being misused.
Today, as a woman and as an actor, I am thankful for my family, friends and well wishers who are my protection and support system. But if this happened to me when I was in school or college, I genuinely can't imagine how could I ever tackle this.
We need to address this as a community and with urgency before more of us are affected by such identity theft." (sic)
