Adding to the woes, the multi-starrer film released for Eid starring Salman Khan, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan also was billed as a box office flop.
Pooja Hegde first made her acting debut in Bollywood alongside Hrithik Roshan in 'Mohenjadaro.' She was seen in Housefull 4 and Cirkus before KKBKKJ. All her Bollywood films are flops. Owing to these circumstances, Pooja Hegde is heavily pinning all her hopes on SSMB 28's success.

Mahesh Babu is reuniting with writer-director Trivikram Srinivas for the third time after about 12 years. Their first collaboration for Athadu was a blockbuster success and their second, Khaleja remained a cult classic that was disowned at the box office. Trivikram Srinivas earlier cast Pooja Hegde in Jr NTR's Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava, and Allu Arjun's Ala Vaikuntapurramuloo, which were highly successful. The director roped in Pooja for SSMB 28 as well. In addition, there were rumours that he commissioned a personal car for the actress to use during the film's shooting.
When the makers of SSMB 28 announced the film, fans of the actor and director were thrilled about them coming together. Their expectations are sky-high. Pooja Hegde and Sreeleela are part of the film's female lead characters. This is the only project that Pooja has in her hands right now and it is because of the close bond she shares with Trivikram Srinivas, who cast her in many of her films.
