Yesteryear Actor & Producer Costumes Krishna Passes Away; Tollywood Mourns His Death

Yesteryear actor-cum producer of Tollywood films, Costumes Krishna died on April 2 in Chennai. The entire Tollywood industry is saddened by the news and condolences are pouring in for the family of Costumes Krishna.

Costumes Krishna, who settled in Chennai with his family breathed his last due to age-related issues. He died at his home in Chennai and was survived by two daughters, two sons, and grandchildren.

He was born in Lakkavarapu Kota village of Vizianagaram district in Andhra Pradesh. He set foot in the industry in 1954, as a customer assistant. He worked with legendary personalities like senior NTR, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Chiranjeevi, Vani Sri, Jayasudha, Jayaprada, and Sridevi among others.

He made his acting debut with a super successful film titled 'Bharath Bandh,' directed by Kodi Ramakrishna. Costumes Krishna always respected Kodi Ramakrishna as his 'Guru,' throughout his life.

Later, after he established himself as an actor, he produced Telugu films. He debuted with Jagapathi Babu, Prithvi, and Raasi-starrer 'Pelli Pandiri. Costumes Krishna also remade a Kannada film with Soundarya as 'Arundhathi' in Telugu. He lost so much fortune by investing wrong and he was vocal about it.

Costumes Krishna played memorable characters in films like Allari Mogudu, Devullu, Ma Aayana Bangaram, Villain (2003), Sambhavi IPS (2003), Puttintiki Ra Chelli (2004), etc. However, Costumes Krishna earned widespread recognition and acclaim for playing the cruel father-in-law character in 'Pellam Chepithe Vinali.'
