Allu Arjun Arrest: Pushpa 2 Actor Officially Arrested In Sandhya Theatre Death Case; Netizens React

Netizens React To Allu Arjun's Arrest: Pushpa 2 actor, the phenomenal Allu Arjun was arrested by Hyderabad city Chikkadpally police on December 13 at his house. The actor was taken to the station in a police car. His team of lawyers moved a squash petition stalling the arrest till Monday and the hearing is scheduled at 4 PM today. The actor will be taken to the Gandhi Hospital for medical check-ups and the police deployed several men at the hospital already. Producer Dil Raju already reached the police station and megastar Chiranjeevi is expected to reach.

The actor was booked for the death of a woman at Sandhya 70 MM theatre in Hyderabad on December 4, on the occasion of Pushpa 2 The Rule movie's premiere. Allu Arjun, who visited the theatre along with actress Rashmika Mandanna, his wife, family and friends was booked for the case filed by the deceased husband. A woman died due to asphyxiation and her son is under treatment after losing consciousness.

While the theatre management was arrested on December 12, the police went ahead to the actor's residence to arrest him. Reportedly, the actor didn't like the way the police have come to take him into custody. He was upset that they did not allow him to have his breakfast and sought time to get ready.

In a video during the arrest of Allu Arjun, he was seen objecting to the way police functioned for taking him into custody. He asked them for time to finish his breakfast. Before getting whisked away, he kissed his wife Sneha Reddy and prevented his father Allu Aravind from accompanying him in the police vehicle.

Allu Arjun's arrest came as a surprise to many as the case doesn't come under culpable homicide offence but drew major attention and debate about accountability of celebrities and public safety.
