Allu Arjun Attends Court Hearing Online In Sandhya Theatre Stampede Case, Cites Safety Concerns

Allu Arjun Stampede Case

Allu Arjun Stampede Case: Actor Allu Arjun recently appeared virtually before a local court in connection with his bail hearing in the Sandhya Theatre stampede case. The incident, which occurred during the Hyderabad premiere of his blockbuster film Pushpa 2: The Rule, tragically claimed the life of a 35-year-old woman and left her eight-year-old son injured.

The actor, named as accused number 11 in the case, filed a regular bail petition that was heard on Friday. During the proceedings, the police requested additional time, leading the court to postpone the matter to December 30. Citing security concerns and to avoid public inconvenience, Allu Arjun joined the hearing via video conference.

The case stems from the December 4 stampede-like situation at Sandhya Theatre, where fans gathered in large numbers to catch a glimpse of the star. Following the incident, Hyderabad police registered a case against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), based on a complaint filed by the victim's family.

Allu Arjun was initially arrested on December 13 and presented before the Nampally court, which remanded him to 14 days of judicial custody. However, the Telangana High Court granted him interim bail for four weeks, allowing his release on December 14.

Meanwhile, Pushpa 2: The Rule continues its reign as the highest-grossing Indian film of the year. Directed by Sukumar and featuring Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, the movie has garnered over ₹1700 crore worldwide within its first three weeks. Despite its record-breaking success, the tragedy surrounding the premiere has cast a shadow over its celebration. The next court hearing is awaited to determine the legal course in this unfortunate case.
