Allu Arjun Refused To Leave Premiere Despite Fatal Stampede: Police
As reported by IndianExpress, Telangana Police on Sunday revealed that actor Allu Arjun refused to leave Sandhya Theatre during the premiere of his film Pushpa 2: The Rule on December 4, despite being informed of a fatal stampede outside the venue. Police footage showed the actor remaining in the theater until nearly midnight, despite requests to leave after a woman died and her son was critically injured in the chaos.
Hyderabad City Police Commissioner C.V. Anand and ACP Ramesh Kumar stated that the theater manager initially blocked police access to the actor. When they finally informed Arjun about the tragedy, he insisted on staying until the film was over. As the situation worsened outside, police had to force their way inside to escort him out.
The commissioner also criticized the actor's security personnel for pushing police officers. He warned bouncers hired by celebrities to respect law enforcement or face strict action.
Telangana DGP Dr. Jitender, on another occasion earlier today, emphasized that the safety of the public is paramount, and all individuals, regardless of their stature, must act responsibly.
