Allu Arjun Moves Court For Relief In Stampede Case

Allu Arjun Moves Court For Relief In Stampede Case: Telugu actor Allu Arjun's legal team has reportedly approached the Telangana High Court to seek a halt to ongoing legal proceedings against him. According to a report by greatandhra.com, the petition was presented before Justice Juvvadi Sridevi's bench, with advocates Niranjan Reddy and Ashok Reddy representing the actor.

As per the reports, the petition requested the court to issue an interim order preventing the police from arresting Allu Arjun until Monday. In response, the Additional Public Prosecutor reportedly stated that he would consult with the police and provide an update during the afternoon session.

Justice Sridevi reportedly adjourned the hearing to 2:30 PM, when the matter will be revisited for further deliberation. The decision will determine whether the actor's arrest will be deferred while the petition is under consideration.

Allu Arjun is reportedly facing charges under multiple sections, including Section 105 and Section 118(1), along with provisions of the BNS Act. Notably, Section 105 is a non-bailable offense. The case stems from a tragic stampede outside a Hyderabad theatre last week, which resulted in the death of a woman.

Allu Arjun's Arrest

According to reports, Allu Arjun was transported from his residence in Jubilee Hills to the Chikkadpally Police Station, where he was taken into custody. At the time of his arrest, his father, famed filmmaker Allu Arvind, his wife Sneha Reddy and other family members were present.

Earlier, the Hyderabad Police had lodged a case against the 41-year-old actor, along with several individuals, including members of his security team and the management team of Sandhya Theatre in the city.
