Dushyanth Katikaneni, a new writer and director made his debut film titled Ambajipeta Marriage Band featuring Suhas in the protagonist's role. GA 2 Pictures and Dheeraj Mogilineni funded this love story with a heavy emotional undertone.

Ambajipeta Marriage Band hit the screens worldwide amid a decent buzz on February 2. The movie met with a reasonable response upon its theatrical release.

Ambajipeta Marriage Band Premise

Set in a village called Ambajipeta in 2007, Malli (Suhas) and Padma (Saranya) are twins. Malli works in the popular Ambajipeta Marriage Band while Padma is a school teacher. Their father runs a saloon. Malli takes a liking for Lakshmi (Sivani Nagaram), who is the sister of Venkat Babu (Nithin Prasanna). They both start meeting each other at the saloon shop. Meanwhile, there is a rumour that Padma and Venkat Babu are in an illicit relationship. After Padma hits Venkat's brother, Srinu comes to know about her brother Malli's love affair with his sister. He resorts to humiliating Padma at the school. What did Malli do? What happened to his love? Answers to these questions form the crux of the Ambajipeta Marriage Band.

The movie was opened to decent word-of-mouth on its release day on February 2. Suhas and Saranya Pradeep are getting lots of applause for bringing honest performances to the table. The movie's day 3 Gross was higher than day 1 and the movie Ambajipeta Marriage Band registered the highest openings for Suhas. However, after the first and opening weekend, the numbers started looking down for this village-based action thriller that deals with casteism and discrimination.

This comedy emotional drama with a sensitive undercurrent theme stars Suhas as Mallikarjun aka Malli. In addition, the movie also features Shivani Nagaram, Goparaju Ramana, Swarnakanth, Nithin Prasanna, Vinay Mahadev, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, and Sharanya Pradeep among others in key roles.

The movie is a joint production venture of GA 2 Pictures, Dheeraj Mogilineni Entertainment, and Mahayana Motion Pictures banners helmed by Dheeraj Mogilineni, and Venkat Reddy. Bunny Vas and Venkatesh Maha are presenting the film. Wajid Baig cranked the camera and Kodati Pavan Kalyan worked as the film's editor. Shekar Chandra composed the entire background score and music for the Ambajipeta Marriage Band movie.
