Pawan Kalyan enjoys a steady and crazy fanbase in the two Telugu states, especially in Andhra Pradesh. The actor who contested from Pithapuram has rented out a building to use for his political works and will likely function from the same place after his swearing-in ceremony.
However, there are a couple of films in his kitty that are still in the production phase, which means that the actor will have to shoot for them. Hari Hara Veera Mallu, OG, and Ustaad Bhagat Singh are the movies that are pending.
Pawan Kalyan's Political Journey
The actor floated a personal political party called Janasena in 2014 in Andhra Pradesh, after the state was bifurcated from today's Telangana. He contested in the 2019 elections in association with Nara Chandrababu Naidu-led Telugu Desam Party (TDP) from two places-Gajuwaka and Bhimavaram, where he lost. Only one candidate who contested from Janasena won the elections then, and he joined the ruling party YSRCP government later on.
In 2024, Pawan Kalyan, who was at loggerheads with TDP once again collaborated with them and joined hands with the NDA government to contest together as an alliance against the YSRCP government led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. During the promotions, which Pawan Kalyan took very seriously this time, he enthralled his fans with dialogues and effective speeches.
For the unversed, megastar Chiranjeevi, who also floated a political party called 'Prajarajyam' in 2008 which was merged into the Congress party, had quit politics owing to the power play. Pawan Kalyan was the youth wing president of the Prajarajyam party.
He gave away a party fund of Rs 5 Crore to Janasena recently, wishing his brother good luck. The politician-actor will be sworn in as the MLA of Pithapuram and represent the constituency and his party in the Assembly very soon.
