Bharateeyudu OTT Release Date, Platform, Time: Bharateeyudu or Indian is a vigilante action thriller that created history in the Kollywood industry. Featuring Kamal Haasan, Manisha Koirala, Sukanya, and Urmila Matondkar in lead roles, the movie was released in 1996 to a tremendous and record-breaking response.

Written and directed by Shankar, the movie which was titled Indian, was made on a budget of about Rs 8 Crore to Rs 15 Crore by A.M. Rathnam under the Sri Surya Movies banner. By the end of the theatrical run, the Indian movie, Bharateeyudu in Telugu, earned a massive Rs 60 Crore.

Indian 2, a sequel by Shankar with Kamal Haasan and a set of other renowned actors like Sidharth, Rakul Preet Singh, and Priya Bhavani Shankar was released amid high expectations on July 12. Sadly, the movie earned a disastrous response after its release.

Senapathy, a veteran, and freedom fighter who is enraged by corruption and crime in society takes matters into his own hands. On the other hand, his corrupt son faces his wrath.

As the film's sequel hit the screens, the first installment, the original movie Bharateeyudu is now made available on the streaming platform Netflix. The movie hit the OTT platform on July 15.

Kamal Haasan played a dual role in the movie as a father and son- Senapathy and Chandrabose (Chandru). Manisha Koirala as Aishwarya, Urmila Matondkar as Sapna, Sukanya as Amrithavalli, Kasthuri Shankar as Kasturi Senapathy, Manorama, Aruna Irani, GOundamani, Senthil, Nedumudi Venu, Nizhagal Ravi, Ajay Rathnam, Ponnanbalam, Bala Singh, Chokkalinga Bhagavathar, Omakuchi Narasimhan, Crazy Mohan, Vikram Dharma, Kovai Senthil, Mahanadi Shankar, Praveen Kumar Sobti, and S.V. Venkatraman played other prominent roles in the movie.

AM Rathnam produced the movie under the Sri Surya Movies banner. Jeeva and B. Lenin along with V.T. Vijayan worked as the cinematographer and editors. Sujatha wrote the dialogues and screenplay along with Shankar who developed the story and wielded the megaphone. A.R. Rahman composed an ever-green album for the film.
