The grand finale of the event is going to take place on December 15 with the preparations underway at the Annapurna Studios. The reality show's host Nagarjuna is gearing up for another season's end in his hosting career. The current season of Bigg Boss Telugu 8 is his sixth consecutive reality show as the host.

As per the latest reports, Avinash was evicted in fifth place followed by Prerana in the fourth position. Nabeel, Nikhil, and Gautham are the top three contestants. Just like Bigg Boss Telugu 6 season finale, this time too, the makers are considering offering a suitcase prize money ranging from Rs 30 Lakh to Rs 40 Lakh between the two finalists- Nikhil and Gautham. Whoever opts for the suitcase will get to walk out with the prize money and the rest of Rs 55 Lakh will be given to the season's winner along with the trophy.

Gautham, who genuinely put himself out there in the reality show after his entry for the second time as a wild card entry, is one of the most deserving candidates to lift the trophy. He and Nikhil are the competitors for the season's title. However, unlike earlier seasons, this time, there is a debate about 'regionality.' Last time, there were complaints from the ardent fans of the Bigg Boss Telugu show that most contestants are Kannadigas. This time too, many key participants are Kannadigas including Nikhil. The fans divided into two sections for Gautham and Nikhil. On the other hand, the votes for Gautham are more when compared to Nikhil. While Avinash won the 'Ticket To Finale' task and became the first finalist of the season directly, the season's host Nagarjuna announced Nikhil as the second housemate, Gautham as the third housemate followed by Prerana and Nikhil. Prerana became the first and only female housemate to become the season's female finalist beating Yashmi, Vishnurpiya, and Rohini.
