Bigg Boss Telugu fame Syed Sohel, popular as Sohel, a Telugu TV actor, made his protagonist debut on the silver screen after his Bigg Boss Telugu stint. His recent film is a romantic family drama titled Bootcut Balaraju. The movie was released in Telugu on February 2 theatrically. After the movie hit the screens, it failed to grab attention and couldn't make much impact at the box office. Sree Koneti made writing and directorial debut with this film which was co-produced by Sohel.

The entire content of this family romantic drama was copied and made into links that were shared online with various illegal websites. These links are going viral on social media and allow viewers to watch and download for free.

This romantic comedy film stars Syed Sohel Ryan as Balaraju, Meghalekha as Mahalakshmi, Sunil as PK, Indraja as Indravati Patel, Vennela Kishore, Brahmaji, Mukku Avinash, Jabardasth Rohini, Siri Hanumanth, Suman, and Jabardasth Saddam among others in key roles.

The movie was written and directed by Sree Koneti. Lucky Media Unit worked on the movie's script. Md Pasha funded the movie under the Katha Veruntadhi Productions in association with Global Films banners. Shyam K. Naidu cranked the camera and Vijay Vardhan Kavuri worked as the film's editor. Bheems Ceciroleo scored the movie's entire background score and tunes.
