Bootcut Balaraju is a romantic comedy-drama that charts the journey of the protagonist, his quirky family, and his love story. Starring Bigg Boss fame and television actor-turned-hero Syed Sohel, the movie was released across the theatres on February 2 to mixed response. The movie financially couldn't perform well.

Sohel, who co-produced the movie even went public about the underwhelming response from the public to his film. He lamented, "We made a good movie, a family drama without much nuisance and obscenity. I don't know why people are not watching our film."

Syed Sohel's latest movie, a family comedy-drama with a romantic underline is finally getting ready for its OTT debut. The film's digital streaming rights were secured by the Aha Video platform and is now going to make its much-waited debut. Bootcut Balaraju will start streaming on Aha video from 6 pm onwards, on February 26. The official announcement was also made.

This romantic comedy film stars Syed Sohel Ryan as Balaraju, Meghalekha as Mahalakshmi, Sunil as PK, Indraja as Indravati Patel, Vennela Kishore, Brahmaji, Mukku Avinash, Jabardasth Rohini, Siri Hanumanth, Suman, and Jabardasth Saddam among others in key roles.

The movie was written and directed by Sree Koneti. Lucky Media Unit worked on the movie's script. Md Pasha funded the movie under the Katha Veruntadhi Productions in association with Global Films banners. Shyam K. Naidu cranked the camera and Vijay Vardhan Kavuri worked as the film's editor. Bheems Ceciroleo scored the movie's entire background score and tunes.
