Jani Master Arrested On Rape And POCSO Charges: Choreographer Jani Master, whose real name is Shaik Jani Basha, has been arrested by the police. A special team from Hyderabad captured him in Bengaluru, and he is currently being brought back to Hyderabad. He may be presented directly at the Upparpalli Court in Hyderabad.

This arrest follows a complaint by a 21-year-old woman, who previously worked as an assistant choreographer, accusing Jani Master of raping her multiple times. The original complaint was filed at Rayadurgam Police Station, where a Zero FIR was registered before being transferred to the Narsingi Police Station. The charges against Jani Master now include those under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Jani Master Suspended by TFCC and Dance Directors Association

Jani Master has been suspended from the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) due to these serious allegations. The TFCC has formed an internal committee to investigate the claims thoroughly. Additionally, Jani Master has been suspended from his position as president of the Telugu Film & TV Dance Directors Association until the investigation is complete and a final decision is reached.

The woman making the allegations first met Jani Master at an event in 2017. Two years later, he offered her a job as an assistant choreographer, which she accepted. The alleged sexual assaults occurred subsequently, including an incident at a Mumbai hotel where Master, the woman, and two male dancers were staying during a show.

The woman also accuses Master of threatening her with physical violence if she reported the abuse and of mentally harassing her during photoshoots and rehearsals. She claims that Master pressured her to convert and marry him, despite his own marriage. On one occasion, she alleges that both Master and his wife entered her room and physically assaulted her.
