Devara Box Office Collection Day 4 (Early Updates): Jr NTR’s Film Sees Major Drop In Numbers On 1st Monday

Devara Box Office Collection Day 4 (Early Updates): Devara is one of the most talked about and biggest releases of the year and there are no second thoughts about it. Starring Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in the lead, the movie is an action drama which is helmed by Koratala Siva. Interestingly, Devara aka Devara (Part 1) not only marks Janhvi and Saif's debut in the Telugu cinema, but also marked their first collaboration with Jr NTR. Interestingly, the movie also featured Jr NTR in a double role.

Apart from the lead trio, Devara also featured Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shruti Marathe, Shine Tom Chacko, Narain, Murali Sharma and Kalaiyarasan in key roles. For the uninitiated, Devara revolved around the titular character who is a fearless man and doesn't mind crossing oceans for the people he loves. While Janhvi plays the role of Jr NTR's love interest, Saif is seen in the role of Devara's brother Bhaira and also has a grey shade to his character. Needless to say, Devara has managed to create a massive buzz in the town and has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year.

Devara Opening Weekend Box Office Collection

Interestingly, Devara witnessed a grand opening at the box office with an opening day collection of Rs 82.5 crores. While the movie saw a drop of over 53% on the second day (first Saturday) wherein it raked in Rs 38.2 crores, it was followed by a collection of Rs 39.9 crores. To note, Devara made a collection of Rs 160.6 crores during the opening weekend.

Given the ongoing trend, Devara saw a witnessing a massive drop in numbers today (day 4/ first Monday). According to a report published in Sacnilk, Devara has raked in Rs 7.22 crores so far today taking the overall collections of the movie to Rs 167.82 crores. It will be interesting to see if Devara will be able to cross Rs 170 crores mark today at the box office

Meanwhile, Saif opened up about his experience of working with Jr NTR for the first time and said the RRR actor becomes a larger than life person in front of the camera. The Nawab of Pataudi also emphasised that Jr NTR goes back to being a normal fun person as soon as the shot is over and that he had a lot of fun working with the Telugu star.
