Devara Box Office Day 1 Trade Expert Prediction: Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor starrer Devara (aka Devara Part 1) is one of the most talked and anticipated releases of the year for several reasons. After all, the movie marks Jr NTR's comeback to the big screen after two years and also marks his first collaboration with Janhvi Kapoor. Directed by Koratala Savi, Devara happens to be an action drama and boasts and intriguing cast of Saif Ali Khan, Shruti Marathe, Kalaiyarasan, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Narain, Shine Tom Chacko and Murali Sharma.

Written by Koratala Siva, Devara is jointly produced by Yuvasudha Arts and N. T. R. Arts. Interestingly, Jr NTR plays a double role in the film including the titular character. It is reported that Devara will play the role of a strong, fearless man who is on a mission to protect his people and faces conspiracies by his brother Bhaira (played by Saif Ali Khan). In an exclusive conversation, producer and film business expert Girish Johar stated that Devara will have a fantastic start in the southern market. He stated that Devara is likely to mint Rs 60-65 crores in the Indian market. However, the numbers can increase owing to the word of mouth.

Will Devara Beat Kalki 2898 AD On Opening Day At Box Office?

Interestingly, Devara is witnessing a strong comparison with Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone. After all, Kalki 2898 AD has been one of the biggest Telugu releases of the year. For the uninitiated, Kalki 2898 AD, which had released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam languages had raked in Rs 95.3 crores on the opening day. Well, looks like Devara will fail to beat Kalki 2898 AD on its opening day.

Meanwhile, talking about Devara, Jr NTR, in a clip shared by Gulte, stated, "It's me and me. You've got Devara the father, and you've got Varada the son. It is, I mean I really don't want to give a lot of spoilers. It's just two days away from release, but it is a rollercoaster journey of a father and son."
