The movie stars Sanjay Dutt in the antagonist's role as 'Big Bull' and has Kavya Thapar as the female lead. Upon its theatrical release, the movie earned flak from the fans and spectators.

In the sequel, Big Bull, a dangerous gangster and assassin wants to transfer his memories to Shankar. He wants to become immortal and chooses to do this on Shankar, who already has the chip of a special officer Arun. The climax is the showdown between Shankar and Big Bull.

Ram Pothineni's 'Double iSmart' movie's digital streaming rights were sold to Amazon Prime Video for a whopping Rs 33 Crore before the film's theatrical release. The movie's underwhelming box office theatrical performance led to its early and silent debut on the prime video.

The movie earned mixed reactions after its theatrical release on September 5 and hit the platform on September 5 without prior announcement. After it was released on the OTT platform, the movie fell prey to the piracy mafia.
