Harish Shankar About Box Office Clash With Puri Jagannadh: The new month of August brought exciting Telugu films to the fore as two big-budget and hyped releases are slated for August 15 release. Massraja Ravi Teja's Mr Bachchan, remake of RAID and Ram Pothineni's Double iSmart are ready to enthrall the fans and audiences.

Harish Shankar reunited with Ravi Teja for an out-and-out actioner after 'Mirapakay (2011).' The director earlier worked with Puri Jagannadh as an assistant and feels him like his teacher. Unfortunately for them, both their films are releasing on the same date.

When Mr Bachchan's release date was announced as August 15, it was none other than Harish's guru, filmmaker Puri Jagannadh, who felt surprised. Puri Jagannadh's hyped sequel to iSmart Shankar with Ram Pothineni, Double iSmart, is hitting the screens worldwide on August 15.

One of the producers at Puri Connects, actress Charmme Kaur said to have tried to talk to the makers of Mr Bachchan, but things didn't materialize. Also, the duo unfollowed each other on social media. Finally, Harish Shankar opened up about why he had to vie with Puri Jagannadh on August 15 with Ravi Teja-starrer.

Harish Shankar said, "Due to financial reasons and OTT agreements, we have no other choice but to release the movie on August 15. We tried but it didn't work out so we had no other way."
