Eagle Release Date: Massraja Ravi Teja's Latest Actioner To Withdraw From Sankranthi Race? Here's What We Know

Eagle is the latest upcoming action-thriller featuring Massraja Ravi Teja, which marks the directorial debut of editor-cum-cinematographer Karthik Gattamneni. The movie is gearing up for a theatrical release for this Sankranthi weekend on January 13.

Anupama Parameswaran is teaming up with Massraja Ravi Teja for the first time as well as Srinivas Avasarala, the writer-actor-director. Navdeep returned to the big screen after a long time.

The film's trailer showcased Massraja Ravi Teja in a different look for this actioner. He was clad in a shirt with lungis. His hairstyle and beard rounded off the look which caught the attention of his fans.

Eagle Release Hurdles

The makers of the film have done away with the post-production works for Eagle. The censor formalities have been completed too. As they announced the release date as January 13 long ago, due to the high competition and several interesting movies hitting the screens for Sankranthi, there is an ambiguity about Eagle's release.

Eagle Not Releasing For Sankranthi?

There was a meeting with the filmmakers of Tollywood, who have announced releases for the Sankranthi season. While more than four films have lined up to enthrall Tollywood movie lovers, issues like the availability of theatres and the effect on mega-budget star hero film openings were discussed.

Reportedly, the producer's council helmed by Dil Raju asked the filmmakers to withdraw from the Sankranthi race so that they could allot a free-run single release date in the future. Buzz has it that Eagle moviemakers are likely to withdraw the film's theatrical release from Sankranthi. However, the producers TG Vishwa Prasad and Vivek Kuchibhotla of the People Media Factory banner reacted negatively.
